ELA:

 This week we will learn about verbs and verb phrases. Verbs are action words like walk and talk. A verb phrase example is has walked or is talking. Please review verbs with your child each night. The Spelling test will be on Friday, along with the Reading test. Please take notice of the five STARRED vocabulary words that were sent home on the Home Connect last Friday. Those will be the tested words. 

Math:

 We will begin Multiplication this week in Topic 1. We will teach the different strategies to be able to solve multiplication problems. Your child should practice learning their facts each night until they no longer have to use the strategies and can call the facts out by memorization.

Science:

We will take a week off from Science but we will soon begin learning about Weather. 

 

Social Studies:

We will continue in our Studies Weekly newspaper with week 10 Map Skills.
